Oscar Chik´s photobook made in Printon printing house has been shortlisted at historical Recontres d`Arles festival. The book has recieved international recognition by being nominated at the Authors` Book Awards 2019 category.
The hardcover book design presents silver laminated cover with silk screen printing on top. There´s also an extra gloss laminate on the top for the extreme mirror efect. The flat spine of the book is complimented by silver head and tail bands.
Photobook Digger is a documentary project that introduces the world of sugar daddy and gold digger. Fashion student Oscar Chik has captured his dates with older men in photos accompanied by private conversations in Grindr.
Rencontres d`Arles Book awards supports growth of the publishing of photography books. In 2018, the historical photograhpy festival welcomed more than 140 000 visitors and more than forty exhibitions took place at city´s various heritage sites.
